Emerald Cruises has responded to the growing trend for extended itineraries in its newly released 2024 European river cruise collection, dovetailing some of its existing voyages to create longer sailings, including a 23-day voyage encompassing the Rhine, Main and Danube, and two other 15-day voyages.

The 23-day Discover the Rhine, Main & Danube cruise from Amsterdam to Bucharest links the classic 15 day Splendours of Europe from Amsterdam to Budapest with the Enchantment of Eastern Europe cruise from Budapest to Bucharest. 19 excursions are included. New to the portfolio in 2024 is a 10-day Danube Explorer & Highlights of Budapest river cruise that includes a new extended two-night stay in the Hungarian capital. Highlights include a Bavarian brunch at a local farm in Passau before visiting Melk Abbey, one of the architectural highlights of the Danube. The river cruise embarks from Passau and visits Linz, Český Krumlov, Melk, Vienna, Bratislava and Budapest. Prices start from $4,695pp* based on the 20 August 2024 departure. Save up to $1,500pp*.

Another newcomer for Emerald Cruises is an 11-day Rhine Castles & Moselle Vineyards itinerary from Amsterdam to Zurich.
