Nine travel partners of Silversea Cruises are currently sailing the Australian eastern seaboard aboard the ultra-luxurious Silver Muse on a voyage from Sydney to Cairns.
The cruise departed a mesmerising Sydney Harbour on Friday night and has made port calls so far in Newcastle, K’gari (Fraser Island) yesterday and is currently anchored off the Sunshine Coast at Mooloolaba today (Tuesday 7 February).
In Newcastle, trade partners and their plus ones had the opportunity to explore the historic city or take tours as far as the Hunter Valley, or stay local with a visit to Maitland Gaol or an easy discovery walk around town. Many guests headed to the landmark Nobby’s Lighthouse and Nobby’s Beach on a spectacular summer’s day.

A full-day at sea provided plenty of time to familiarise themselves with the original 596-passenger Muse Class ship and its diverse array of bars and facilities. Yesterday offered an opportunity to explore Fraser Island by
by canoe, or with a guide through the mangroves to learn about bush tucker and medicine. It was a maiden port call for Silversea at Fraser Island.
Today’s options include a visit to the Glasshouse Mountains, Noosa and the Hinterland to experience the arts, wine and cheese in the region.
Escorting the travel professionals is Sara Puglia, Silversea Cruises’ recently recruited Business Development Manager for QLD/WA/NT. Since December, Puglia has been in the enviable position of having been aboard Muse for several weeks at a time, showcasing the eight-deck ship to travel advisors while it’s been in local waters. Plus she was aboard for a series of sales meetings from Auckland to Sydney only last week with most of the local Silversea sales force. If someone knows the ins and outs of Silver Muse like the back of their hand, it’s got to be Puglia.
She told LATTE that the purpose of the famil this week was to give travel advisors and travel partners not only a firsthand taste of the product, but to develop their own understanding of the atmosphere, the clientele, experiences and even the dress code standards. Those invited partners are busy trialling a mix of dining venues (from casual to the ultra-elegant evening gown and bow tie affairs), shore excursions, spa treatment offerings and more, with their plus ones, to experience Silversea the way their guests would.
After another day at sea tomorrow, Silver Muse will arrive in Airlie Beach before continuing onto Townsville, then Port Douglas.

I recently did a 15 day Xmas Cruise on the Silver Muse, and loved it. The staff were superb and the service excellent. Our Personal Butler took very good care of us
Including making our Restaurant Bookings. I highly recommend the La Dame French Restaurant. Really enjoyed playing Trivia everyday with a Group in the Dolce Vita Lounge. Pool Deck is great for lunch. Donovan (Maitre D’ )will take very good of you.
