Four short duration itineraries to capture the Northern Lights

Hurtigruten Norwegian Coastal Express has expanded its signature Classic Coastal Voyage portfolio to include four Half Voyages on board the upgraded MS Trollfjord, providing more choice than ever for adventure travellers keen to experience the Aurora Borealis.

Launched as part of the cruise ship operator’s 130th anniversary celebrations, the four half-voyages are shorter than the original 16-day North Cape Express, making it easier than ever for travellers to find a trip that works with their schedule – especially those keen to combine this with visit neighbouring Finland and Sweden, and other Northern European destinations.

Sailing from September – March, and with departures ranging from seven to nine days, each journey takes in a selection of carefully curated ports along Norway’s stunning coastline. Guests can also look forward to unparalleled personalised service from Hurtigruten’s dedicated Coastal Experience Team who serve as invaluable hosts. Plus a rich daily program of activities both onboard and ashore, including an average of 6 hours spent in every port, allows guests to truly immerse themselves in each destination visited.

Onboard, the upgraded MS Trollfjord also delivers a significantly enhanced experience. All cabins have been freshly refurbished and feature a modern Scandinavian aesthetic throughout, with lots of nostalgic touches evoking the ‘golden age’ of travel. The ship’s restaurants have received an extensive makeover, with Hurtigruten’s elevated Norway’s Coastal Kitchen experience providing guests with a rare opportunity to indulge in local culinary delights and savour the tastes of the Norwegian landscape. Upgraded dining options include an à la carte restaurant which has almost doubled in size, tasting menus, all-day dining, afternoon tea, and takeaway services, with picnic and culinary excursions also available.
