Scenic Luxury Cruises and Tours has confirmed a temporary delay in the arrival of the next-generation submersible for its highly-anticipated Scenic Eclipse II, LATTE can reveal.
As previously reported here, Scenic Eclipse II remains on schedule for its inaugural sailing from Lisbon to Barcelona, on 13 April 2023.
Guests aboard Scenic’s second Discovery Yacht will be treated to a range of bespoke events and luxurious new enchantments, including the expansive new Sky Deck and Sky Bar, custom-designed Vitality Pool, new KLAFS salt therapy lounge with heated beds and more.

Anthony Laver, General Manager of Sales and Marketing APAC at Scenic Group said the company has also invested in the world’s “most advanced submersible,” the new Scenic Neptune II Triton. Revealed in September 2021, this next-generation state-of-the-art submersible, designed and built in the USA, can dive to 200 metres with as many as eight guests on board, providing a 270-degree viewing range.
He continued, telling LATTE: “The submersible will be joining Scenic Eclipse II after a short delay, as it completes the final stages of testing and operation certification.”
The new Scenic Neptune II submersible complements an extensive range of Scenic Eclipse Discovery options, including two helicopters, zodiacs, kayaks, stand-up paddleboard excursions, plus Scenic’s Freechoice and Enrich experiences that will provide guests with the most immersive exploration experiences.
