Comedian joins Federer in latest Swiss Tourism campaign

Global Brand Ambassador to take funny guy aboard The Grand Train Tour

Switzerland Tourism has revealed comedian Trevor Noah as its latest ‘guest’ to appear beside global brand ambassador, Roger Federer, in the organisation’s new film on the “Grand Train Tour of Switzerland”, released this week.

After an unparalleled tennis career, Roger Federer retired from top-level tennis last year. But he has continued to act as a brand ambassador for Switzerland Tourism (ST). In previous campaigns, Federer has starred alongside Robert De Niro (in 2021) and Anne Hathaway (2o22).

His new co-star for the 2023 campaign will be Trevor Noah, comedian, best-selling author, producer, and philanthropist, who, like Roger Federer, is half Swiss, half South African.

The team behind the camera is also top-class: the film was directed by Tom Hooper, who won an Oscar for his film The King’s Speech back in 2011. The film positions Switzerland as an attractive travel destination, with a focus on rail travel.

Federer travels the Grand Train Tour of Switzerland in 2023. The journey combines all the famous panoramic routes in one breathtaking train tour and takes visitors comfortably to the most famous sights. From glaciers to lakes and from mountains to cities: each stage of the Grand Train Tour of Switzerland has a unique character. The rail trip is how visitors discover the top experiences in Switzerland over 1,280 kilometres and 8 stages.
