Flight Centre Travel Group has appointed Nikki Glading as its latest recruit for its Independent Luxury Leisure Division. In the role of General Manager – Independent Luxury Collection, Glading has been tasked to lead the business’ growth in luxury independents, opening the doors of its collection to luxury advisors, agencies and groups as part of the division’s strategy to expand its global Luxury Travel Collection.
FCTG’s Luxury Travel Collection encompasses the boutique luxury-focused Travel Associates brand in Australia and New Zealand, along with the recently acquired Scott Dunn ultra-luxe entity, entrenched in the UK, USA and Singapore.

Drawing on the global lure of business entrepreneurs establishing their own businesses that are specific to high-end travel, the Luxury Travel Collection will pursue an expansion of its portfolio to include discerning independent contractors with a focus on curating and selling 5-star travel to their high-net-worth clients.
In this newly created role, Glading — who was most recently with Virtuoso as Account Director, Partner Relations Australia, New Zealand — will pinpoint her attention to building relationships and partnerships in the rapidly growing travel sector.
Under the Independent Luxury Collection business, luxury agencies and individual advisors will have the ability to operate with Travel Associates or retain their own brand while accessing the LTC’s product range and business ecosystem.
LATTE understands the new position lured close to 50 senior applicants, however, it was Glading’s prior background in ultra-luxury cruising with Seabourn
(for more than three years), her six-month stint with Virtuoso and 15-year history with FCTG in senior leadership roles positioned her as the strongest applicant to join the high-performance luxury team.
Glading will be based in Sydney and will report to Rachel Kingswell, Geneeral Manager, Travel Associates AU/NZ, effective 1 May 2023.
