The Travel Junction adding telephone res sales service

B2B wholesaler to offer Australian-based phone, email reservations channels

B2B wholesaler, The Travel Junction, is moving from an online business to a full-service operation with a team of reservation staff available by phone and email, effective 1 May 2023, the company has announced.

In addition to the introduction of its new full-service, 6-day-a-week offering, travel advisors will continue to be able to create and manage their own self-service itineraries within The Travel Junction’s HELiO booking platform, supported by its 24 x 7 live agent ‘Chat’ support.

James Whiting, General Manager, The Travel Junction said, “Our partners told us what they wanted, and we have responded to their feedback by launching our Australian-based phone reservation sales with a team of experienced wholesale travel experts.”

Whiting said the team has been chosen based on their first-hand product knowledge and multi-year consultative sales experience.

“Our new reservations sales team will provide personalised expert advice, including offering qualified product recommendations and specialist assistance with complex itinerary builds. We want to make it easier for our clients to create and deliver amazing global travel experiences for their guests.”

“With the introduction of new phone and email services, we’re offering flexibility in how our travel advisors choose to book with us,” Whiting said.

“We believe we will deliver a first for the industry – a wholesale omni-channel environment – as all bookings made by our team will reside in HELiO. This means a travel advisor can access, add travel components and amend an itinerary created by our team as well as settle payment directly in their own HELiO environment. Similarly, our reservations sales team can easily access and enhance an advisor’s existing booking they’ve made in HELiO,” Whiting added.

Regardless of how advisors choose to work with The Travel Junction – via HELiO, phone and email services, they can access a global range of over 250,000 hotels, car hire, theme parks and attractions, transfers, dynamic and
