Australian luxury tour specialist, Walk into Luxury, has broadened its scope to include additional luxury cruises. The new expedition cruises follow the recent launch of walking trips to Patagonia in South America.
Walk into Luxury has been offering small ship cruises for around five years, with expedition voyages sometimes the only way to access remote wilderness areas such as the Kimberley coastline and the fjords of Patagonia and New Zealand, says Nikki King, Managing Director. She said cruising is a growing part of the business.
At present, Walk into Luxury offers cruises with Scenic, Ponant, Silversea, True North, Fjordland Discovery, Ocean Dreams and Antarctica21.

“We know our clients value time in nature and having access to unique landscapes and wildlife is one of the reasons why they travel. We expect expedition cruising in Patagonia and Antarctica to sell well as standalone experiences and as a complement to our Patagonia and Chile journeys,” she said of the recently expanded offering.
“Imagine spending a few days cruising between glaciers in Southern Patagonia, then traversing the high-altitude arid landscape of the Atacama desert. These are the sorts of diverse journeys we can create working with our expedition cruise partners.”

King revealed to LATTE that an expansion of cruising into polar regions in the Northern Hemisphere will be the next step.
“We are working on some exciting new journeys based around the alps and fiords of Norway, paired with Arctic expedition cruising,” she detailed.
“It is a natural next step and something we know our clients will love.
“It’s also great to be able to work with trusted partners already operating in the Arctic to roll out these new options,” King added.
