This month, the new look Singita Mara River Tented Camp reopened, embracing a contextual African look inspired by the local Masaai and the raw beauty of the landscape. Set on a spectacular river bend in the Lamai Triangle in Tanzania, its bold and playful refresh celebrates the essence of Mara in contemporary design.
Created for modern-day adventurers longing to explore Africa’s bold landscapes and abundant wildlife, this tented camp is inspired by local culture and a strong sense of place. Striking designs inspired by vibrant Maasai geometrics find balance alongside the earthy comforts of artisanal furniture and playful accessories that add to the element of surprise around every corner.

Located in a prime riverine position in the far Northern reaches of the Serengeti, Singita Mara River Tented Camp has front-row seats to the incredible wildebeest crossings during the Great Migration. Mara’s six nomadic-style tented suites redefine nomadic contemporary luxury with a fresh take on functionality.
Pioneering new African flavours, Mara’s food journey embraces dishes that contain locally sourced, seasonal ingredients that are true to East African culinary traditions. The focus on light, refreshing meals to be enjoyed in a natural setting – fireside snacks, tapas and mezze boards around the pool.
The camp is open year-round, excluding March and April.
