Maroma reopens in 2023

The Belmond presentation included news that the Maroma Hotel in Riviera Maya on the Yucatan Peninsula will reopen its doors in August 2023 following a complete renovation. It marks the first extensive transformation within Belmond’s North America portfolio under LVMH ownership. Limited edition Dior Spa at Grand Hotel Timeo

To celebrate the 150th anniversary of Grand Hotel Timeo, A Belmond Hotel, Taormina, Belmond has partnered with Dior to create a limited-edition wellness experience. Running until October 2023, the hotel’s gardens will welcome two Dior treehouse treatment cabins nestled amongst the cypress trees, offering guests and visitors exclusive skincare treatments in a verdant oasis overlooking the sea.

New rail offering

Following the launch of new grand suites and eight smaller suites aboard the Venice Simplon-Orient Express, Belmond also announced plans for a new line of Orient Express routes. Belmond has extended its usual season past November into December and is now hosting a festive trip and new routes from Paris to the mountain regions for ski season. Starting in 2024, the Royal Scotsman rail experience through the Scottish Highlands will be even more luxurious with two new Grand Suites that are even more over the top than the train’s existing upscale accommodations.

Furthermore, guests can immerse themselves in a murder mystery lunch aboard the British Pullman. The performance has been created especially for the train by the storytelling agency Private Drama Events.
