Atlas Ocean Voyages has added two new expeditions to its Antarctica and King George Island offering for December 2023. The expanded departures coincide with Atlas Ocean Voyages’ first season offering three ships to the White Continent.
Specifically, the sailings are both seven-night voyages aboard World Voyager, departing 7 and 19 December. The cruises bypass Drake Passage in one direction, with guests flying the leg to enable greater time exploring King George Island on the Antarctic peninsula.

From November 2023 through March 2023, Atlas Ocean Voyages will offer over 40 voyages of seven- to 14-night voyages, departing round-trip from Ushuaia, Argentina, aboard World Navigator, World Traveller, and World Voyager.
The two featured Drake Fly & Sail Expeditions allow guests to either embark or debark directly from King George Island on the Antarctic peninsula:
- World Voyager – Drake Fly & Sail Expedition departing on 7 December 2023, will sail one-way from Ushuaia to King George Island. Included is an additional night pre-hotel stay in Buenos Aires, one-way private charter jet service from Buenos Aires, one-way return air service to Punta Arenas, and one-night post-hotel stay in Punta Arenas.
- World Voyager – Drake Fly & Sail Holiday Expedition departing on 19 December 2023, sailing one-way from King George Island to Ushuaia for seven nights, plus one-night pre-hotel in Puna Arenas, one-way private charter jet service from Punta Arenas and one-way return air service to Buenos Aires.
For the more intrepid traveller, two longer 14-night expeditions bookend the season with visits to South Georgia, the South Sandwich Islands, or the Falkland Islands:
- World Navigator – Antarctic Adventurer Expedition departing on 6 November 2023, sails roundtrip from Ushuaia and includes private charter jet service from Buenos Aires and one-night pre-cruise hotel stay.
- World Navigator – Wild Falklands and Argentina Expedition departing on 15 March 2024, sails roundtrip from Ushuaia with planned calls to the East and West Falkland Islands and visits to South Georgia and South Sandwich Islands. During the Antarctica expeditions, guests will explore destinations such as Neko Harbour, Deception Island’s caldera, and Brown Bluff at the peninsula’s northern tip. Crossing into the Antarctic Circle, they will have the opportunity to spot diverse marine wildlife, including several species of penguins, seals, and whales.
