Royal Caribbean Group and Silversea Cruises executives enjoyed a sneak preview of Silver Nova this week in Eemshaven, Netherlands. Billed as “the most environmentally conscious ultra-luxury cruise ship ever built”, the dignitaries were given an extensive tour of the ship ahead of her inaugural sailing on 14 August 2023.
Jason Liberty, President and CEO of Royal Caribbean Group, Richard Fain, Chairman of Royal Caribbean Group and Barbara Muckermann, President/CEO of Silversea were welcomed on board by the Managing Directors of the MEYER WERFT shipyard, Jan and Bernard Meyer.

As well as representing an important milestone on Royal Caribbean Group’s journey to Destination Net Zero, Silver Nova and future Nova-class ships are set to introduce an unparalleled openness to the world and an entirely new take on luxury at sea.

Silver Nova is scheduled to enter service on 14 August 2023, sailing round-trip from Fusina (Venice) over seven days. After the Mediterranean, the ship will then cross the Atlantic to the USA, undertaking voyages in the Caribbean and Central America, before embarking upon on the 71-day Grand Voyage South America 2024 on 4 January 2024.
