Sir Richard Branson’s Moroccan retreat Kasbah Tamadot is expanding through the addition of six brand-new two-bedroom Riads, now available to book for travel from September 2024.
The award-winning hotel in the spectacular Atlas Mountains is part of the Virgin Limited Edition collection and will offer the new Riads alongside its existing 29 rooms and suites, which include 11 luxury Berber Tents and the Master Suite – a miniature replica of the Kasbah itself.
Each of the new Riads will feature two bedrooms, sleeping four people in a Deluxe Pool Suite and a Deluxe Room connected by a separate living area, offering the perfect accommodation for families or small groups. Patio doors in the living space will lead out to a private pool and a large terrace complete with sun loungers, as well as a typical Moroccan rooftop terrace with a covered lounge area and fireplace.

The interiors of the Riads will be beautifully and individually decorated using traditional Moroccan furnishings, in keeping with the hotel’s existing décor and reflecting its authentic and peaceful surroundings, as well as featuring antiques and items from the vast collection of Kasbah Tamadot’s former owner, renowned antiques dealer and interior designer Luciano Tempo.
Hand-woven soft furnishings, including bathmats and rugs, will be made by local artisans supported by the Eve Branson Foundation (EBF), the not-for-profit organisation spearheaded by Sir Richard Branson’s late

mother that works closely with Kasbah Tamadot to deliver artisanal training, protect the local environment and provide healthcare and education within the community.
The new riads will be built on land within the estate that has always been unused.

“This expansion of Kasbah Tamadot’s offering will provide luxurious and self-contained accommodation for families and small groups to relax in, whilst also enjoying the many activities and authentic experiences that we have to offer,” said David Redouane Assabbab, General Manager of Kasbah Tamadot.
“In true riad style, they will be centered around their own private pool and peaceful garden, with incredible views of Mount Toubkal from the roof terrace – fitting additions to our very special hotel.”
Rates start at MAD 32,000 (approximately AU$5,050) for four people sharing a riad on a B&B basis.
