Virtuoso Travel Week 2023 kicks off this weekend in Las Vegas, with a strong contingent from Australia and New Zealand currently en route across the Pacific to ‘Sin City’ for the 35th annual “Fashion Week of luxury travel”. Hosted at MGM Resort’s Bellagio Resort & Casino, Aria Resort & Casino and Vdara Hotel & Spa, several thousand travel professionals from around the world will descend on ‘The Strip’ for the next week. LATTE too is excited to be returning to Virtuoso Travel Week as a guest of Virtuoso.
Fiona Dalton, General Manager, Virtuoso Australia & New Zealand told LATTE she was thrilled to lead a delegation of fifty-eight “exceptional owner/managers and talented luxury travel advisors alongside our team of ten from across Australia & New Zealand.
“As we come together in Las Vegas with 5,000 delegates from across 100 countries, the scene is set for this year’s event to be one of our most important and memorable.

“We know from experience that delegates can expect profound human connections, boundless learning, and meaningful engagements and these are all designed to exemplify the unlimited potential for growth within our vibrant community. There’s truly nothing like it anywhere else in the world,” Dalton said.
Once again there’s a robust program of events, training and meetings installed for delegates, starting with the Globetrotting sessions on Saturday which provides a platform for suppliers to meet with small groups on a rotating basis, providing insight and education on their products. These ‘travel communities’ are divided into categories including Wellness, Ultraluxe, Adventure, Cruise, Culinary, Family and Celebration.
Concurrently, the second annual Travel Tech Summit will return, with Virtuoso putting technology on centre-stage in support of its long-held belief that its members and partners are best served by having choices when it comes to finding the best tech solutions for their respective businesses. Led by tech entrepreneur, investor and Virtuoso board member, Gilad Berenstein, the 2023 Travel Tech Summit will spotlight innovation in the travel industry with insight from established companies including Microsoft, Hopper and Deloitte, paired with a showcase of 20 startup businesses that are making waves and overcoming obstacles in the travel tech space.

Matthew Upchurch, Virtuoso Chairman and CEO, will kick off the session by discussing the network’s evolving search for the best tech solutions while simultaneously keeping travel advisors at the centre of its mission, enhancing the customisation and configurability of Virtuoso’s operating system.
“Integrating the Travel Tech Summit as a recurring session at Virtuoso Travel Week supports our mission to constantly discover the newest technology solutions for our members and partners, allowing for efficiencies so that they can focus on what they do best – serving clients and creating exceptional travel experiences,” Upchurch said. “Bringing together established and emerging tech companies during a larger event solely focused on furthering luxury travel provides us and our network with the invaluable opportunity to be at the forefront of innovation – something that is imprinted in Virtuoso’s DNA.”
A Welcome Reception at the Bellagio Resort & Casino will bring all delegates together on Saturday for a night of networking with new and old Virtuoso friends, ahead of several days of back-to-back business appointments and meetings, seminars and panel discussions, and much more.
Stay tuned to LATTE next week for all the glitz, glamour and latest news from Virtuoso Travel Week 2023.
