In response to continued surge in demand for luxury travel, UK-based sales representation firm Plateau International has announced the appointment of Karen Conlon as its new Sales Director for Australia/New Zealand.
Bringing a wealth of relevant experience in the luxury travel industry at senior level, Sydney-based Conlon’s appointment builds on her strong connections across the travel industry to represent Plateau’s luxury portfolio of hidden gems.
Most recently, Conlon spent 10 years with Belmond in professional roles including Account Director for Groups under their owner LVMH Groups in Australia and New Zealand and was previously Director of Sales, Trains and Cruises for Asia Pacific, including Australia and New Zealand.
Her depth of experience and knowledge in the leisure, groups and incentive sectors of the travel and tourism industry, alongside her skillset in sales, management, negotiation and customer relationships, will make Conlon a valuable asset to the successful growth of Plateau’s strong network in the region, delivering an exceptional B2B customer experience as the main point of contact for partner tour operators, travel advisors and travel designers interested in the Plateau portfolio of boutique hotels, elite river cruises and high-end DMCs.
