Australian-based luxury representation company, La Collection, has entered the private homes and villas arena after signing Iconic House, the first private collection of luxury properties available to rent. This new partnership with La Collection encompasses four stunning French homes.

Launched in 2021 by Thibaud Elziere – a tech entrepreneur who runs the start-up studio eFounders – and his brother Robin Michel, Iconic House combines the best of the hotel industry and holiday rentals for the ultra- luxury market.

Together, the two founders have been inspired by a new vision of hospitality, offering a collection of luxury homes for holiday rentals. They aim to attract a demanding clientele, made up of both leisure and business travellers who prefer staying in private homes to high-end hotels. And there is no skimping on service or experience – key to the success of the best luxury hotels.

“In recent years, holiday rental properties (serviced accommodation) have become a serious alternative to the traditional hotel industry, particularly in the luxury sector,” said Thibaud Elziere. “Today, these properties are often managed by agencies on behalf of individuals.

“We decided to do things differently by buying and managing our own homes: this makes it possible to do much more in terms of the design and décor, the level of service and the overall experience offered to our customers. It also creates a connection that links all the properties in our collection.”

“At Iconic House, we want to develop a brand with a unique concept, blurring the boundaries between the hotel industry and holiday rentals, offering the best of both worlds,” Elziere added.

Iconic Courchevel – Le 1550

Lea Seguier, La Collection Co-Founder is excited to introduce the Iconic House concept to travel advisors in Australia and New Zealand.

“This is more than new properties joining our portfolio. It is a new vision of hospitality.:

“LC is now able to offer our partners: Private Villas, boutique buyouts for special celebrations, and ultra exclusive travel!” Seguier enthused.

The four Iconic House properties in the stable include:

Iconic Alpilles – L’Etoile des Baux

A luxury farmhouse in Provence. Accommodating up to 16 guests in 8 bedrooms, with 8 bathrooms, across three buildings. Located 30 minutes from Arles and Avignon, the village of Les Baux-de-Provence, perched on a spur of rock, has an incredibly diverse architectural heritage including an extraordinarily beautiful citadel that towers over the surrounding countryside.

Les Baux-de-Provence is a listed heritage site that has won titles such as ‘One of the Most Beautiful Villages in France.’

Iconic Courchevel – Le 1550

This luxury chalet can accommodate up to 20 guests and is located in the heart of the three valleys – the world’s largest ski area. The village of Les Brigues is the authentic and preserved heart of Courchevel, away from the crowds. As well as a chalet manager, Le 1550 also includes a private spa, gym, yoga studio, a chef and waiter, along with private driver.

Iconic Hossegor – Les Bords du Lac

Nestled between the pine forest and beaches with mythical waves, the seaside resort is now one of the trendiest spots in the Atlantic. From the south beach to the Estagnots beach, the mythical waves are still there.

A few hundred metres from the sea, spread out on the edge of the lake, the town centre offers a gentle way of life that will appeal to all generations. From the beginning of the 20th century, Hossegor attracted writers, intellectuals and industrialists, founders of the resort, whose neo-Basque houses are scattered among the pines around the marine lake.

A century later, the charm continues. This ultimate ocean villa can accommodate up to 14 guests across its two buildings.

Iconic Luberon – Les Hauts de Gordes

A luxury prevencal property located in Gordes, recently voted “most beautiful village in the world” by Travel+Leisure. The property is divided into three independent buildings around a spectacular double swimming pool. The adjoining lavender field, the oak and olive trees, the light, the beautiful materials, the colours, the calm… and the view, set the scene. The idea of a postcard, truer than life, blurring the boundaries between dream and reality.
