The newest member property in the Raffles Hotels & Resorts portfolio has opened in the Kingdom of Bahrain in the Middle East. Raffles Al Areen Palace Bahrain is the centrepiece of a future high-end destination for living, hospitality, entertainment and commerce located near Al Areen Wildlife Park and Reserve in the Southern region of the island nation.
Located on the island of Million Palm Trees, the signature Raffles Bahrain is comprised of 78 villas offering one-, two- and three-bedroom configurations, each boasting private pools and gardens. The hotel also features five F&B outlets, a rooftop restaurant and an award-winning spa.
GFH Financial Group’s master plan for Areen was revealed late last year in conjunction with the official opening of Raffles Al Areen Palace Bahrain. The development creates a new township of nearly 2 million square-metres of land, capable of accommodating approximately 25,000 people. It is comprised of commercial offices, retail units, restaurants and hotels, health and education facilities, and a range of residential communities.
The updated masterplan features enhancements to accommodate new health and wellness trends in addition to walkable shopping streets.
GFH’s masterplan for Areena features Bahrain’s newest five-star hotel at its heart. Designed according to Raffles’ exacting standards, the hotel is earmarked to be one of Bahrain’s most opulent hospitality offerings, capturing mesmerising Arabian charm and world-class sophistication and elegance.
Omer Acar, CEO of Raffles Hotels & Resorts, “This captivating resort will feature Raffles’ legendary service, culinary excellence, and exceptional amenities, offering guests an inspiring retreat from which they can explore and connect with the country’s rich culture.”
“Raffles has a strong presence in the Middle East and this spectacular new hotel will offer guests an opportunity to explore the enchanting allure of Bahrain like never before.”
One of the signature experiences offered to guests at Raffles Al Areen Palace Bahrain is the Olive oil ritual, available at the Mediterranean restaurant, Palma. Set around the olive tree at Palma, guests are invited to same a varitey of olive oils with fresh Arabic breads.
The property previously operated independently as Al Areen Palace & Spa, before Accor’s Raffles Hotels & Resorts inked a management agreement in mid-2019.
