Tauck’s Cuba return is filling up tours fast

New itineraries in Namibia and Italy also added to the touring schedule

Tauck will resume touring to Cuba for the first time in four years with a refreshed week-long itinerary launching in October 2024. The enhanced ‘Cuba: A Cultural Odyssey’ offers six departures this year through to late December, all of which have sold out.

In response, Tauck is offering 13 departures in 2025, departing from January through to early April, and again from October to late December. Cuba is proving to be such a hot destination for Tauck that three dates in January and February next year have similarly sold out, while two other departures have ‘limited’ availability.

After an overnight in Coral Gables, Florida (a neighbourhood southwest of Downtown Miami), guests on the Cuba itinerary are flown to Havanna for a five-night stay at the Grand Aston La Habana. Havana serves as a base for exploring the city and outlying areas, as Tauck guests are immersed in Cuba’s history, culture and cuisine.

Among the experiences, Tauck guests will explore the city’s Old Havana neighbourhood (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) on a walking tour and learn about Cuba’s famous cigars during a visit to a tobacco farm in the Viñales Valley (and during a cigar-rolling tutorial and tasting). They’ll also travel to a vintage American car club to learn about the country’s iconic automobiles, and tour the home of author Ernest Hemingway who spent much of his life in Cuba between 1939 and 1960.

Throughout their journey, Tauck guests will meet and interact with a host of locals, including artists, musicians and dancers, farmers and a former baseball star.

Tauck’s ‘Cuba: A Cultural Odyssey’ is priced from AU$9,840 per person (plus international airfares).

Tauck will operate 10 departures of “Namibia: Epic Safari” from April through October. Prices start at AU$17,380 per person.

The launch of Tauck’s new eight-day ‘Tuscany, Cinque Terre & the Portofino Coast‘ itinerary takes the US touring firm’s breadth of trips to Italy to an all-time high for the company, of 20.
