PASPALEY PEARL by PONANT, the collaboration between PONANT and Paspaley revealed last October, have today officialy launched a dedicated website and booking centre for their 2025 inaugural year of sailing.
Presently undergoing an extensive multi-million-dollar renovation, the 30-guest boutique expedition motor yacht will sail year-round to some of the world’s most exceptional destinations with diverse itineraries spanning the Kimberley, Australia’s Far North (including Arnhem Land and Cape York), East Indonesia (including Raja Ampat & Spice Islands) and Papua New Guinea (including the Sepik River and New Britain Island).
There are 13 itineraries on offer, including an 11-day ‘The Kimberley you Haven’t Seen’ Northbound and Southbound voyage between Wyndham and Broome (or vice-versa).
PASPALEY PEARL by PONANT’s inaugural 10-night expedition will set sail on 10 January 2025 from Dili in East Timor to Bali. Designed to captivate and enthral, this expedition promises unique encounters with whale sharks, Komodo dragons and seldom-experienced Indonesian cultures along the way.
The yacht’s inaugural sailing in Australian waters will commence from Darwin on 7 April 2025, beginning with the ‘Kimberley you Haven’t Seen’ which includes an exclusive visit to a working Paspaley Pearl Farm.
Accompanying the launch is the newly created PASPALEY PEARL by PONANT website which will continue to evolve, providing guests and travel distributors access to a dedicated Yacht Concierge who can offer personalised assistance with private air charters, pre and post accommodation and other services to ensure an unforgettable expedition experience.
“After many months of meticulous preparations behind the scenes, we stand on the threshold of a significant milestone as we proudly announce the official launch of PASPALEY PEARL by PONANT,” said Sarina Bratton AM, PONANT Global Senior Strategic Advisor and Honorary Chairwoman APAC.
“Our vision is to create and deliver bespoke, boutique expedition experiences for few guests, in a safe, comfortable, environmentally sustainable and inspiring environment, allowing our naturalists to showcase the wildlife and cultures in many untapped, remote destinations in and around Australia,” Bratton said.
Nicholas Paspaley AC, PASPALEY Executive Chairman adds; “Sharing the routes that my crew and I pioneered in the 1970s onboard our pearl luggers will provide wonderful opportunities for guests. An in-
depth immersion into and understanding of the pearling industry will enrich many.”
Emerging as the newest and only boutique expedition motor yacht in the Kimberley with private balconies, the ship also is equipped with industry-benchmarked technology for navigation, safety, and environmentally sensitive operations. Expeditions across the Asia Pacific region promise to provide travellers with a new standard of boutique expedition travel.
PASPALEY PEARL by PONANT offers 15 suites and staterooms with options ranging from the lead-in 16 square-metre Ocean Twin Stateroom (of which there are 3) and the 18 square-metre Ocean Stateroom (5), or the 20 sqm Horizon Suite with Balcony (6) or 27 sqm Pearl Suite with Balcony (1).
According to the yacht’s deck plan, the helicopter pad on the Sun Deck will be transformed to an outdoor Lounge and Jacuzzi.
