More than 180 travel brands from 40 countries will meet with global buyers and travel advisors to understand, connect and develop business strategies for travel within the LGBTQ+ community at PROUD Experiences at the Fairmont Century Plaza, Los Angeles, 3-5 June 2024. The event is organised by Reed Exhibitions, the firm behind the International Luxury Travel Market (ILTM) shows around the globe.
Extending the commitment to Australian buyers for this edition, in addition to 3 nights’ accommodation in an LA hotel, PROUD Experiences will provide an increased flight contribution rebate of US$1,000 (subject to availability) to all accredited Australian buyers to support their attendance through the two days of pre-scheduled business appointments, plus access to all PROUD business, educational + networking events.
“Our first PROUD in LA this year had a waitlist of applications for buyer places as well as exhibitors following a sell-out event. We wanted to make it even more accessible for travel advisors to attend this year and have increased the rebate offered as we accept all pre-qualified agents,” said Simon Mayle, Event Director, PROUD Experiences.
“We are thrilled to continue to partner with PROUD Experiences,” said Albert Herrera, Executive Vice President, Partner Relations, Internova Travel Group, one of the world’s largest travel services companies and PROUD Experiences headline sponsor.
“LGTBQ+ travellers are an important part of our business and events like PROUD Experiences are essential for our travel advisors to serve this community. They play a vital role in alerting us to trends, enriching our relationship with supplier partners and keeping us up to date on the most exciting experiences around the world,” Herrera added.
Barclay Cox, Travel Advisor, Allure Travel by CTM, Australia commented: “PROUD Experiences is so much more intimate than other trade shows I have taken part in, allowing those taking part to truly connect and have honest business conversations. Coming to PROUD Experiences in LA allows Australian agents to not only meet with so many international brands over a few days, but the masterclass sessions are imperative with helping us advise our clients on emerging LGBTQ+ destinations and travel trends.”
Key brands participating include Aman, Fasano, Gleneagles, Hotel Esencia, Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, Las Ventanas A Rosewood Resort, L´Oscar, One&Only Palmilla, Peninsula, Ritz-Carlton Hotels of Japan, Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, The Dolder Grand, Ultima Collection and Tourism Boards such as Tourism Australia, Austrian Tourism Office and Los Cabos.

PROUD Experiences allows us to reinforce our support and respect for our clients, contributing to the vibrant tapestry of LGBTQ+ travel experiences.”
