andBeyond takes to the sea with luxury yacht

Galapagos Explorer to offer two 7-night itineraries, launching June 2024

andBeyond has confirmed its entry into deep water cruising with a new small-ship set to launch in the Galapagos Islands in mid-2024.

andBeyond is highly regarded for its ultra-luxury lodge, conservation-based portfolio of properties throughout Africa, Asia and South America. Present in 14 African countries, the brand has 27 lodges on the mother continent alongside properties in India, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bhutan.

LATTE can reveal the luxury travel company will take to the seas from June 2024, when the Galapagos Explorer, a 38-metre, six-berth expedition yacht enters service. The four-deck yacht will operate two seven-night itineraries unlocking either the east or west islands of the Galapagos archipelago. Both programs are now live on andBeyond’s website and bookable.

Guests will have a variety of outdoor open-air dining options to enjoy their gourmet meals from beneath the stars. The Sun Deck “provides an exclusive haven with comfortable sun lounges, a hot tub, and panoramic vistas,” the website boasts, and there will be a spectacular ocean bar offering sundowners with a view.

Off Galapagos Explorer, guests will have the option to snorkel and sea kayak, while on shore there will be hiking, wildlife watching, island-hopping, birdwatching, photography and educational tours to participate in.

Guests will have four cabins/suite types to choose from, including the lead-in 12.5 sqm Luxury Cabin (of which there are two) on the lower deck with portholes, two 14 sqm Luxury View Cabins on the middle deck with windows, the 27 sqm Superior Suite on the lower deck, with portholes and two private ensuites and the top-of-the-line 32 sqm Deluxe View Suite alone on the upper deck with unobstructed windows and a double ensuite bathroom.

Prices for the seven-night itineraries, ex Baltra, listed online are:

  • Luxury Cabin – US$10,950 per person twin share
  • Luxury View Cabin – US$11,950 per person twin share
