Virtuoso names new General Manager, AU/NZ

HRG senior exec tapped for local role as Dalton transitions to consultancy capacity

Virtuoso has named Greg Treasure as its incoming General Manager for Australia and New Zealand, as Fiona Dalton transitions from that role to a consultancy position with the luxury network.

Treasure will take over from Dalton effective 4 March 2024, responsible for the business planning and financial performance of the regional market. He brings decades of global experience, having held executive leadership roles with HRG Travel throughout Australia, Asia Pacific, North America and Latin America, that will further propel this established Virtuoso region towards market optimisation. He will based out of Virtuoso’s Sydney office.

Treasure will provide leadership to a strong team that operates under Virtuoso’s divisional matrixed structure.

Dalton was appointed Virtuoso’s GM ANZ in late January 2022 following a resourcing assignment with the consortia for the 12 months prior. She will continue to lead the Australia, New Zealand contingent of Owners/Managers to next month’s Virtuoso Forum in Bangkok, Thailand.

Meanwhile, Raymond Ang has been appointed General Manager, South East and North Asia. Ang’s appointment comes as Irene Lee, Virtuoso’s General Manager for Greater China, puts her full focus on that burgeoning region.

Both new GMs will support Virtuoso’s global growth strategy within their respective regions.

Virtuoso’s further expansion into Asia has created two separate general manager roles designed to serve two distinct territories – a move foreshadowed exclusively by Michael Londregan, SVP, Global Operations in LATTE 18 months ago.

In the newly created role, Ang will oversee Virtuoso’s operations within the market. He brings a wealth of experience in travel industry business development throughout Asia Pacific as well as a broad understanding of the specific characteristics of the countries that make up the region. Based in Singapore, Ang will officially join Virtuoso in April 2024.

Both new executives will report to Londregan.

Commenting on their appointments, Londregan said: “Virtuoso continues to invest in its global growth by bringing in talented leadership to serve the unique business needs of our members and partners in a given region. For Australia and New Zealand, where Virtuoso has been successfully operating for 20 years, Greg Treasure will continue to drive value in this well-established market that has set the standard for Virtuoso’s regional operations.”

“We deeply appreciate Fiona’s impact on the market, and we’re excited that her decision to transition to consultancy allows her to spend more time with her family and friends.”

“For South East and North Asia, the opportunities for growth are endless. With the region estimated to be the fifth largest economy in the world by 2030, we are excited to explore the incredible development potential it represents, with Raymond Ang helping lead the way,” Londregan added.
