American Cruise Lines to launch Patriot Class ships in 2025

Two new 125-guest ships to sail the US Northeast corner and Florida coastline

American Cruise Lines has revealed plans to introduce a new class of coastal ocean ships, with the first of two initial vessels to launch next year.

The “cutting-edge” Patriot Class vessels will accommodate 125 guests and sail the US East Coast, as far north as Maine and the Florida Gulf Coast and Keys.

American Patriot will debut in June and American Pioneer in November, according to American Cruise Lines’ website.

American Patriot will operate a 15-day Grand New England Cruise itinerary roundtrip from Boston, with 15 port calls, starting 21 June 2025. There will also be an 8-day Cape Codder Cruise to Martha’s Vineyard, Newport and Provincetown on 11 October, roundtrip from Boston, and an 8-day one-way Yankee Seaports Cruise from Boston to New York on 18 October.

American Pioneer will be based in Florida and sail 8- and 15-day itineraries along the coast and keys of the state, commencing 1 November 2025.

The top deck boasts a Skywalk and a fitness room is located on the 4th deck. Casual dining is available at the popular Café on the sun deck, offering a relaxed meals.

State-of-the-art Patriot Class ships “are fully stabilised with traditional bows and slightly deeper drafts, promising a comfortable cruising experience even in varying sea conditions”.

“What sets these ships apart is their commitment to spaciousness; they offer more onboard space per person than any other cruise line, providing ample room for relaxation and enjoyment.”

The ships will feature five stateroom and suite options from which to choose – Grand Suite, Sky Suite, Vista, AAM and Single cabins.

Ranging from a generous 28 to 57 square-metres in size, each stateroom features a private balcony. There will be a range of spacious lounges to unwind and socialise.
