Dedicated International Sales Manager to focus on driving brand awareness down under

UK owned and operated Riviera Travel River Cruises has named Steven Taylor as its new International Sales Manager. Based in the UK, Taylor will be dedicated to driving expansion and growing brand awareness in Australia, further reinforcing the river cruise line’s commitment to the Australian market.

Travel the World (TTW), the cruise line’s Australian sales distribution partner, says Taylor’s appointment underscores the company’s commitment to providing exceptional river cruising experiences to travellers worldwide and extending its focus on supporting the Australian travel agent network.

Taylor’s cruise industry experience includes previous roles as the Head of Retail at Saga Travel and Business Manager at P&O Cruises where he was responsible for building new distribution channels, working with a wide variety of trade partners and building and establishing successful new partnerships. His role also encompasses Ireland and the US markets.

Taylor will work closely with Travel the World (TTW) to grow brand awareness and bookings.

With over 46 years under the stewardship of the Millmore family, TTW has built invaluable relationships within the local travel trade industry and will harness this experience to support the growth of the Riviera brand.

Riviera Radiance will launch in 2025

Riviera has witnessed a 50% increase in trade sales year on year, further reinforcing the cruise line’s commitment to growing this network in Australia.

The brand is increasingly turning its attention to the strong potential of the Australian market where travel advisors continue to be the strategic focus for growing the Riviera brand.

Riviera Travel’s fleet of five-star ships support an intimate atmosphere of between 126 and 176 guests – featuring a range of onboard facilities, including a restaurant, bistro and wellness centre services of a Cruise Director and Concierge, dedicated excursion in every port and all port charges. In 2025, Riviera will launch two new ships Riviera Radiance and Riviera Rose.

TTW will offer Australian travel agents training and marketing support through its national sales team to help them benefit from this additional revenue opportunity.
