A sister-ship to Scarlet Lady and Valiant Lady, the third iteration will be initially based out of Pireaus, Athens and offer new cruises to the Greek Islands, such as Santorini, Rhodes, Crete, Kefalonia, Corfu and Mykonos.
Set to debut in August 2022, Resilient Lady will also sail the Croatian coastline from Dubrovnik and Kotor, Montenegro, and onto Corfu and Argostoli in the Greek isles.
Virgin Voyages, which has been forced to delay its inaugural cruise by more than 12-months due to the pandemic, said it specifically chose International Women’s Day to reveal the name.
“As we celebrate the strength and resilience of women in tandem with International Women’s day today, we thought it apt to announce the third ship in our fleet, Resilient Lady — a ship who represents so much more than we ever could have imagined.

“Our collective resilience has been the theme of the last year; growing, prevailing, and looking toward a future that we’ve never been more grateful for — which is why it was important to us that the name we chose for our newest lady ship reflect the strength of our past and the power of our future.”
“After a year of adversity and adaptation, it’s only fitting that we name our third ship, Resilient Lady,” Virgin Voyages said.
“It’s no secret that women have been challenged to rise up more than ever during the pandemic. From juggling motherhood with the newly minted title of at-home teacher to making sure things stay afloat at work, women around the world have endured and prevailed. And as the medical community faced the virus head-on, women made up 67% of the global healthcare workforce and 80% of all nurses. So it felt deeply important for us to honour and acknowledge the sacrifices, contributions, and resilience of the women in our lives.”
“While the proverbial seas may have been rough, we’ve never been more excited to set sail from our new home port of Piraeus (Athens), Greece – seeing the world with fresh and appreciative eyes.”
The maiden 10 sailings aboard Resilient Lady are now bookable. They comprise two 7-night itineraries for departures between August and October next year – the island-hopping Greek Island Glow and the Adriatic Sea & Greek Gems, priced from AU$1,417.50 per person twin-share and $1,440 per person twin-share respectively.
