Four Seasons expands in Japan with Osaka addition

Ultra-luxury hotel to form part of the One Dojima Project

Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts is adding a fifth property to its existing stable in Japan in Osaka.

The 175-room and suite Four Seasons Hotel Osaka will form part of the 49-storey mixed-use One Dojima Project that is under development in the city. The project also includes 466 branded apartments by Brillia.

Guest rooms will be located on levels 1-2 and floors 28-37.

Dojima is located near several of the waterways in Osaka City. The area has developed as a commercial centre since the opening of the Dojima Rice Exchange, the world’s first futures exchange and the origin of trading in Japan. The area has now become the centre of business in Osaka.

Four Seasons Hotel Osaka is being designed by award-winning interior designer Gwenael Nicolas of Curiosity, as well as Shinichiro Ogata of SIMPLICITY, and Yasuhiro Koichi of Design Studio Spin.

Four Seasons Hotel Osaka will complement the brand’s existing properties in Japan, including Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Marunouchi, Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Otemachi, Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto, and the upcoming Four Seasons Resort Okinawa.

The One Dojima Project is slated for completion in 2024.
