A new dedicated ticketing page on Tokyo’s official tourism website will make it easier for visitors to buy tickets for the city’s most popular events, attractions and experiences.The new platform, located on the GOTOKYO.org website, was launched this month by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Tokyo Convention & Visitors Bureau.It features more than 110 listings which range from sumo wrestling matches and kabuki theatre performances to cultural activities and traditional craft experiences.It provides an easy and seamless way for visitors to purchase tickets and comes at the perfect time with visitor numbers booming, according to Tokyo Tourism representative in Australia Alison Roberts-Brown.“Australian visitor numbers to Japan increased 54.3% year-on-year Jan to Nov 2024,” she said.“With such growth we’re excited to have this new tool to make booking experiences and attractions in Tokyo more convenient. Whether you’re planning your trip or looking for an impromptu experience, the new Events and Tickets page on GOTOKYO.org is the perfect resource to discover and book the best that Tokyo has to offer.”The new page is located at https://www.tickets.gotokyo.org/en.
