The private Villa of the Knights of Malta, dating back to the 15th century, is located on the summit of the Aventine Hill, inhabited almost 2000 years ago by plebs and traders and beating heart of Imperial Rome. The Villa, hidden from prying eyes, boasts numerous riches, including the Church of Santa Mary of the Priory and the gardens, in which visitors can enjoy a spectacular view of St. Peter’s Dome, thanks to the very famous “keyhole”.
