Travellers can delve deep into Greece’s Golden Age on a new archaeologist-led 20-day land-cruise tour with Academy Travel.Led by archaeologist Dr John Tidmarsh, the Greece’s Archaeological Islands journey begins on the island of Crete before heading across to explore the mainland’s many historic sites.From Athens, the odyssey continues by sea with guests boarding the MS Galileo for an eight-day exploration of the islands of the Cyclades, including ever-popular Santorini and Mykonos, and the birthplace of Apollo, Delos.The 48-metre ship has just 24 cabins and will carry guests around the islands at an “unrushed pace” of 11 knots creating ample opportunity to take in the sights.
