One&Only’s first ski resort to mark brand’s entry to US

Reservations are now open for One&Only Moonlight Basin, the hotel firm’s first first US property which will open on 18 November 2025.Located in Big Sky, Montana, this ultra-luxury destination is also the company’s first ski resort. Set in the untouched wilderness of Montana and spanning more than 8,000 acres, the resort will occupy 240 acres within the property. Its location provides an exceptional backdrop for adventure, being just a short drive from Yellowstone National Park. Guests of the resort will enjoy unparalleled access to pristine ski slopes, hiking trails, and outdoor adventures, offering a true year-round escape. Serge Ditesheim, the resort’s General Manager, brings two decades of hospitality experience to the role, following the successful launch of One&Only Mandarina in Mexico.The One&Only Sky Lodge opened last December, providing a preview of the resort’s offerings to both the community and visitors. There, guests can indulge in locally sourced meals at The Landing, a new restaurant and bar accessible via the One&Only Gondola or by car. The ski lodge also offers a retail space with high-performance skis and snowboards, along with ski valet services. A new eight-seat chairlift, Madison 8, enhances ski access to over 5,800 skiable acres at Big Sky Resort.In partnership with renowned chef Akira Back, the resort will introduce a modern Japanese restaurant next winter. Chef Back, a former professional snowboarder, brings his passion for bold cuisine to Montana, adding to the resort’s roster of distinguished dining options.Designed by Olson Kundig, the resort features spacious guest rooms, suites, and One&Only Private Homes.
