American Airlines will begin offering its Premium Economy service between New York JFK and Los Angeles starting this October. The move potentially opens up more premium seating options for Qantas Frequent Flyers getting to and from the Big Apple from LA.Customers who choose Premium Economy on the transcontinental route will receive Priority check-in, security and boarding. Once on board, customers will find a personal amenity kit with premium skincare products and travel essentials, not to mention an Ostrichpillo® lumbar pillow and crepe weave blanket. Additionally, travellers will enjoy wider seats with more legroom complete with in-seat power adapters and larger TV screen with on-demand entertainment and noise-reducing headphones.

As part of the inflight service, customers in Premium Economy will receive complimentary drinks and a hot meal with salad and dessert served on chinaware.Premium Economy service will be available on select flights between New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK) and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) starting 5 October 2025. Tickets are now on sale.
