An investment of more than US$100 million will see LATAM Airlines Group launch a new mid-tier Premium Comfort cabin in 2027 as it aims to transform the long-haul flying experience.Positioned between the existing Premium Business and Economy classes, the new offering is aimed at passengers seeking an optimal balance between productivity and rest. The cabin will feature wider seats, greater recline, increased pitch and a lower passenger density, delivering improved privacy and onboard relaxation.“Premium Comfort reflects our deep understanding of our customers’ evolving needs and our commitment to providing more options so every passenger can travel the way they want,” said Paulo Miranda, Vice President of Customers at LATAM Airlines Group.
“It is a product that combines comfort, space, and high-level service with exceptional value, and it also represents a statement of how we envision the future of flying from South America to the world: a journey where privacy, design, and the warmth of our region come together to create a unique experience.”Passengers in Premium Comfort can also expect a refined onboard experience, including a dedicated culinary offering and personalised touches. The cabin will be fitted with 16-inch 4K screens, Bluetooth connectivity, USB-C fast-charging ports, and individual power outlets. The rollout of Premium Comfort will begin with LATAM’s Boeing 787 fleet in 2027, with availability on select long-haul routes. The airline has indicated that specific routes and booking details will be announced soon.
