Riverside Luxury Cruises has appointed a Melbourne-based representative for the Australia and New Zealand market, recruiting Susie Coughlin as its local Commercial Sales & Marketing head.The German-based river cruise line has been building partnerships in Australia for more than a year and hosted a mission Down Under last year which was followed in November with its inaugural Australia travel advisor famil.Commenting on the appointment of Coughlin, Andrea Kunze Director of Sales & Marketing Europe & Australia/New Zealand for the brands said,”locally based resource reinforces our commitment to this important luxury river cruising market.”“We believe the quality of our service and ships, along with our food and beverage offerings, not to mention cabin size are unsurpassed,” Kunze added.

Coughlin joins Riverisde Luxury Cruises with an extensive background in cruises having worked at APT at the inception of their Europe River cruising program. Susie previously held senior sales management positions, regionally and nationally with the APT and Travelmarvel brands during her tenure of approximately 5 years.Couglhlin went on to work with the Globus family of brands representing their coach touring brands along with Avalon Waterways.“I have a passion for river cruising and have been extremely fortunate to traverse many rivers of Europe with my previous employers,” Coughlin said on her appointment.“I am very grateful to be given the opportunity to bring my experience and expertise in this area to the Riverside family and give this true luxury product the local attention it deserves”.
