The Queensland capital has been recognised as one of 10 global cities viewed as a ‘Trending Destination’ in 2025. According to data from global American Express Card Member travel bookings and Amex Travel’s worldwide network of travel consultants, Brisbane is one of three cities in the Southern Hemisphere to appear on the list.

American Express has opened a new Centurion Lounge at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, Terminal 2. At more than 1,100 square metres, the lounge’s design celebrates the rich history and architecture of the nation’s capital along with a collection of art commissioned by local artists.

The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) has revealed the latest round of high-profile speakers for its upcoming Global Summit, featuring top leaders from the world’s leading travel and tourism businesses.

“Privacy is the New Ultimate Luxury”. That was one of the top insights concluded in a survey conducted in January of consumers from seven countries, including Australia, to gauge their sentiment towards travel.

The data doesn’t lie. Hayman Island by InterContinental is back bigger than ever, and it’s making waves globally with American Express card holders. The Great Barrier Reef-based resort is the sole Australian property to feature in the newly released 2020 ‘Trending Destinations’ report compiled by American Express Travel’s accommodation platform, Fine Hotels & Resorts.
