A new strategic partnership between Emirates and Uber aims to deliver more “seamless, effortless and rewarding” journeys for travellers across key markets. The collaboration, formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), marks a significant step toward enhancing the on-ground mobility experience for Emirates customers and adding value to Skywards loyalty members. The MoU was signed by Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, and Anabel Diaz Calderon, Vice President and Head of EMEA Mobility at Uber.“Emirates is excited to join forces with Uber as part of our commitment to delivering seamless travel experiences,” Kazim said.“In the months ahead, we’ll closely work together to leverage our combined capabilities in travel and technology to expand planning options, create more connected end-to-end journeys across our network, and introduce exciting new benefits for our Skywards members.”As part of the agreement, the two companies will explore a series of initiatives to improve connectivity and travel convenience. These include the development of an integrated booking experience that combines Uber Rides Vouchers with flight bookings for easier airport transfers or in-city rides.Emirates and Uber also plan to offer rides to and from the airport for select customers, supporting a “complete door-to-destination experience.”The partnership will further focus on loyalty integration through Emirates’ Skywards program. Skywards members in the UAE may soon have the opportunity to earn on rides or redeem their miles for Uber app credits or vouchers. There are also plans to enable members to benefit from earning Miles on Uber rides across select markets in the Emirates network.Expanding beyond passenger mobility, the two companies are eyeing collaboration in logistics, with the MoU outlining potential cooperation in “Last Mile” delivery initiatives for Emirates Courier Express.
