Viking has launched three new World Cruises which provides new options for travellers seeking to discover more of the world in Viking comfort in one seamless journey.

Viking Expedition clients can choose from six dining options, all at no additional charge. A great day begins on board Viking Octantis or Viking Polaris with a selection of healthy culinary options to fuel a day of adventure. Guests can choose from a wide range of dishes, from breakfast classics to simple but nourishing fare inspired by Norwegian tradition.

Viking’s purpose-built expedition ships offer a wide variety of staterooms for your client’s selection. From Nordic Balcony staterooms to the abundance of extra perks and amenities in their spacious Explorer Suites, there is no finer way to travel. And whichever stateroom they choose, they will find it beautifully designed in the understated elegance for which Viking is known.

Viking’s identical sister ships, Viking Octantis and Viking Polaris, are purpose-built for expeditions to optimise exploring the remotest parts of the world in comfort. Viking has this week rolled out its 2023-2025 Expedition brochure featuring its state-of-the-art expedition vessels Viking Octantis and Viking Polaris. The brochure highlights Viking’s latest expansion into the Arctic region and additional departure dates on popular voyages.

Viking has commenced its second season in the Great Lakes, as the new purpose-built Viking Polaris arrived in Toronto for its first port of call in the region.

Viking marked the company’s 25th anniversary on 30 September with a historic celebration in Amsterdam.

Viking has taken delivery of the company’s second purpose-built expedition ship, Viking Polaris. The delivery ceremony took at Fincantieri’s VARD shipyard in Søviknes, Norway, where Viking’s first expedition ship, Viking Octantis, was delivered in December 2021.

Viking continues to mark new milestones for its expedition voyages, as the new purpose-built Viking Octantis kicks off its inaugural season in the Great Lakes. Designed specifically to reach the Great Lakes region, Viking Octantis recently completed a roundtrip through the Welland Canal – a key section of the St. Lawrence Seaway connecting Lake Ontario and Lake Erie – making it the largest passenger vessel ever to transit the canal.

With the release of the new full-length film, Downton Abbey: A New Era, the team at Viking Australia treated guests to a special lunch and a screening of the movie, taking them to a Sydney theatre in a red double-decker London bus.

Viking has unveiled new expedition sailings for the summer 2023 season aboard Viking Octantis and Viking Polaris, including a new two-week itinerary in the United States’ Great Lakes.
